Our very own Dr Farid Bardid and Professor John Reilly were featured in the Scottish Daily Mail regarding the launch of the 2026 Active Health Kids Report Card.
Dr Bardid, Senior Lecturer at the University of Strathclyde said “Physical activity appears to benefit the brain health of specific populations, including children with obesity and those with neurodevelopmental disorders”.
Joanna Crispell, head of Brain Health Scotland said “Supporting children to move more, eat well and develop healthy habits is not only important for their wellbeing today but for protecting their brain health in the decades to come”.
The 2026 Active Healthy Kids Scotland Report Card was a collaboration between Brain Health Scotland, which funded the study, the Universities of Strathclyde, Glasgow, Stirling, Aberdeen and the West of Scotland, and the Active Healthy Kids Global Alliance.
