Imagine a Scotland where there was a coordinated collective of organisations working together to champion the messaging and active communication of movement behaviours for children and young people. A coalition of the willing, with a mission to take our knowledge and insight and reach an entire population.
Inspired by the work of ParticipACTION in Canada, Scotland Moves is a coalition of willing organisations striving to elevate and prioritise active communication and messaging to improve the health of our children and young people
Scotland Moves has been launched to bring that ambition to a reality.
Since their founding in 1971, ParticipACTION has been Canada’s leading voice for physical activity, inspiring Canadians across the country to sit less and move more. What began as a national communications campaign has grown into a movement woven into the fabric of Canadian culture.
Simple, yet effective campaigns such as ‘Make Room for Play’ leverage social and digital marketing principles to convey important information, reaching people where they are.
