Since our founding in 1971, ParticipACTION has been Canada’s leading voice for physical activity, inspiring Canadians across the country to sit less and move more. What began as a national communications campaign has grown into a movement woven into the fabric of Canadian culture.

When we look at Scotland Moves, we see a reflection of the values and vision that have guided us throughout our journey. A population-level approach that meets people where they are, speaks in a voice they recognize, and invites rather than instructs.  Scotland’s rich culture, deeply connected communities, and commitment to public health and wellbeing make it uniquely positioned to build something truly remarkable and lasting.

‘AHKGA welcomes the new partnership with Scotland Moves for the promotion of child physical activity, health education and advocacy, and compelling activity messaging and communication.

AHKGA has global reach, identifying case studies and examples of effective policies and practices around the world which promote child physical activity and health. These case studies will be communicated by Scotland Moves so that they can be adapted in Scotland to improve child physical activity and health in the future.’

Actify was launched in 2018 to help sport, physical activity and fitness organisations maximise their use of digital technology and provide the best support and guidance possible to their audiences.

“Obesity Action Scotland is delighted to welcome the launch of Scotland Moves. Through our shared commitment to improving children’s health and wellbeing, and our collaboration on the Knowledge Exchange project Providing Accessible Local Data on the True Prevalence of Childhood Obesity, we look forward to working together to strengthen the evidence base for action and support healthier futures for children and young people across Scotland.”
